My name is Desireé, and I go by Des (Dez)

I am Panamanian (born and raised *woop woop*) and I moved to the U.S. a few years ago.  Upon my arrival to the U.S.,  I constantly got asked  where I was from and how come I spoke Spanish so well. This is when I realized that a platform for  Afro Latina and Caribbean women needed to be done in the area where I lived and #AfroLatinasInAtl was created

I am an attorney and I currently work on projects that  provides me with a flexible schedule and because of this flexibility,  I am able to travel  to new destinations and return to favorites.

I want to be able to help other Afro Latina women, like me, that have left their country of origin and now live in a new country and help them cope with their transition to a new culture without abandoning their own.

Besides my passion for my Afro Latin - Caribbean culture, travel and work I have several other passions I will like to share with you that are all Infused right here on this site. My wish is to help and inspire all of you.
